Valhalla VintageVerb 4.0 is here with 2 new Reverb Modes
Valhalla VintageVerb 4.0 is the latest update of one of the most widely used reverb plug-ins on the market today. Loved for its rich authentic sound, the latest edition now brings users new compatibility and 2 new reverb algorithms.
First introduced in 2012, Valhalla VintageVerb is a collection of reverbs modeled on the famous Lexicon 224, PCM70, 300, 480L, and the EMT 250.
By far one of its most useful features is the Color function that allows you to change the overall sound character. Choose from the darker reverb tones of the 1970s, the better sample rates used in the 1980s, and the more transparent reverbs of today.
Valhalla VintageVerb 4.0 is here!
Valhalla VintageVerb now offers a total of 22 classic digital reverb algorithms including, Concert Hall, Bright Hall, Plate, Room, Chamber, Random Space, Chorus Space, Ambience, Sanctuary, Dirty Hall, Dirty Plate, Smooth Plate, Smooth Room, Smooth Random, Nonlin, Chaotic Hall, Chaotic Chamber, Chaotic Neutral, Cathedral, Palace, and the new Chamber1979 and Hall1984 algorithms.
With the new Chamber1979 reverb mode, you get a modern approach to the late 1970s chamber reverb sound with plenty of tonal character. Moreover, you have extended control over modulation and reverb decay. Application-wise, the Chamber1979 algorithm is perfect for vocals, synths, and other instruments.
Meanwhile, Hall1984ย is a new version of the classic 1980s concert hall reverb sound. Here, you get a warmer more lush-sounding reverb with a more natural decay. This makes Hall1984 ideal for large ambient soundscapes and one-shots.
In addition, Mac users will be thrilled to know that VintageVerb 4 offers macOS Sonoma support and additional compatibility for Apple Silicon platforms. Besides Intel chips, there is now support for M1, M2, and M3 processors.
With the year-end around the corner, many users could be updating their systems, so this update could not be better timed.
