MOD Audio adds neural modelling
MOD Audio AIDA-X Neural modelling is the latest addition to the MOD platform. Available for MOD Dwarf and as a plugin for your DAW. Will this new neural modelling system rival larger companies?
AIDA-X
MOD Audio (formerly MOD Devices) have announced AIDA-X and it offers neural modelling for guitarists. Allowing musicians to model existing hardware and create portable virtual rigs using the MOD Dwarf * hardware. Plus, it will also run as an AIDA-X plugin on a computer system running a DAW, so it offers the best of both worlds.
Potentially, making AIDA-X a serious rival to companies such as Neural DSP and IK Multimedia.
“We’re thrilled to bring AIDA-X to the market and see the incredible potential it holds for the future. With its advanced AI processing and cross-platform compatibility, we believe AIDA-X lifts the MOD platform to a new level, with incredibly good sounding gear modelling powered by strong community exchange of models” – Gianfranco Ceccolini, Co-Founder and CEO of MOD Audio
Training
In very simple terms, users train the AIDA-X using audio file captures of amps and then process this, once finished it is uploaded via a browser to the MOD Dwarf hardware.
MOD Dwarf is already a popular hardware platform, so this new update adds some serious power and flexibility to the system. Plus, having that aforementioned free plugin version of AIDA-X is a massive bonus and puts it squarely in the same arena as IK Multimedia’s ToneX software and hardware.
The plugin runs on Windows, Mac and Linux systems.
MSRP – MOD Dwarf EUR 499 *
