The Harrison 32Cpre+, MR3eq, and Comp modules make up an entire channel strip of console-inspired processing for your 500-series rack.
With SSL at the helm, Harrison Audio has launched its first range of 500-series modules for recording, mixing, live sound, or broadcast applications.
Each of these specially designed modules borrows elements from the legendary Harrison Consoles from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. These iconic mixing boards produced records like Michael Jackson’s Thriller, so the brand certainly has a lot to live up to.
Harrison 32Cpre+
The 32Cpre+ is a 500-series version of the transformer-coupled mic pre in the Harrison 32Classic studio console. With up to 70 dB of gain, this Jensen transformer-equipped preamp produces punch and clarity with a wide range of mics.
On the front panel, you have a set of variable high-pass and low-pass filters to isolate the frequency range. What’s more, there’s an XLR combo input, as well as -20 dB pad, Hi-Z impedance, and polarity reversal switches.

MR3eq
The MR3eq is a versatile 3-band EQ module derived from the Harrison MR3 recording console. Its design is simple, but the controls provide plenty of tone-shaping power, which is probably why it’s one of Harrison’s most sought-after EQs.
From the top, you have a variable 800 Hz – 15 kHz high-frequency shelf and a second-order bell mode with the famous Harrison proportional Q feature. The 40 – 800 Hz low-shelf functions in the same way, while the mid-band is equipped with variable Q-factor for more precise tuning.

Comp
The Comp module uses a classic forward-feeding VCA compressor design. With program-dependent attack and adjustable release, you can quickly dial in just the right amount of compression during tracking and mixing.
Whether you’re looking to do set-and-forget transient shaping without added colouration, or completely transform the dynamics of a signal, the Comp has it covered. Moreover, it will produce excellent results on a range of instruments.
