Triaccord: A trilogy of synthesizers based on sight, hearing and touch
Love Hultén makes extraordinary creations of technology and future-retro design. His latest installation is called Triaccord and combines synthesis with his vintage aesthetic.
Triaccord
I am completely floored by the aching beauty and simplicity of this thing. The trilogy is based on the senses of sight, hearing and touch. The Blue synthesizer generates and visualises complex mathematical formations, which look a lot like fractals to me. The Green synthesizer has 12 keys, selectable waveforms, arpeggios and an analog filter. Lastly, the Orange synthesizer is a Theremin with pitch modulation and delay.
In themselves they are items of beauty, but when combined with the three works placed on the wall behind they become something more than the elements. I would quite happily have a print of the installation on my wall.
Love does sell various items and takes commissions, although there’s no price tag attached to this particular piece of work. There is a video of the Triaccord in action although I confess that I liked it better before I heard him play it. He needs to get someone down to do a decent demo, with better quality sound and camera work.
