1010music Nanobox Battery Case: Power of Nano in your hands
1010music’s Nanobox Battery Case adds rechargeable power to the Nanobox series. This announcement is sure to have Nanobox owners tickled tangerine.
1010music Nanobox Battery Case
Quick, what’s the one thing you wish 1010music’s Nanobox series had? If you answered battery power, then you’re going to be tickled tangerine by this announcement. About an hour up the freeway from Anaheim is downtown Los Angeles. This was the scene for Buchla & Friends, a synth maker showcase running concurrently with NAMM 2024. 1010music was there and announced (via a video by Sonic State) that they were readying a battery pack and case to fit their popular line of Nanoboxes.
Called the 1010music Nanobox Battery Case, it solves the issue of their colourful line of synthesizers not having internal batteries. Given their size and form factor, this seems like something that should have been addressed from day one, but whatever, a solution is on its way.
1010music Nanobox Battery Case: Charge It Up
The black case has two pieces, a base and snap-on lid, and fits all of the devices in the Nanobox line, including the most recent Tangerine sampler. You can charge the pack with a device inside. Charges will last up to four hours in the new power-saving mode, which dims the screen for extra battery life. If you need a brighter screen, you can expect 2.5 hours of use.
Protection Plus MIDI
Along with providing power, the Nanobox Battery Case also acts as a protective case. Snap on the lid, throw it in a backpack, and you’re good to go.
In addition, the USB-C connector routes MIDI functionality to your Nanobox via a computer.
1010music plans to have the Nanobox Battery Case ready to go in February of this year. Expect it to cost $69. It will be available on the 1010music site as well as through some retailers.

Nice. Would be even nicer if they made one for BlackBox.
