I think there are some Soft synths that are very capable and not represented on this list.
Competing with Pigments, Omnisphere, Halion 7 allows sampling or multiple variants of synthesis that one can combine as well as instrument authorization, using virtual analog subtractive synthesis, samples, FM, PD, wavetables, granular and spectral synthesis.

I would not have picked Aparillo (The default preset is one of the best tones ever) or Generate (Interesting and great for certain things but otherwise limited) Although good they are not GOAT. I would replace with Falcon and Msoundfactory. Synthmaster 2 is also up there, especially for the price.
