Drum Zone
Here at Gearnews, we pride ourselves in bringing you the very latest news on everything to do with music and music tech. However, up until today, we’ve had an obvious hole in our coverage: drums! Gearnews’ writing team is made up of some hugely talented writers and musicians. Alongside our coverage of synths, guitars, studio, tech and live gear, we have some talented and experienced drummers making up the writing team. We felt it was about time we let them share their passion, knowledge and experience of drums!
From today, we’ll be bringing you the hottest breaking news on everything to do with drums and percussion. From acoustic drums to electronic drums and percussion, you’ll find it here. Just click on the DRUMS tab on the home page of Gearnews to dive into all things drums.
Acoustic and Electronic Drums
Naturally, our background in music tech will give Drum Zone a unique editorial slant. We’re all keen advocates of electronic drums and pads alongside traditional acoustic drums and cymbals. Importantly, you’ll find equal enthusiasm for the latest sampling drum pad, as for a collector’s edition boutique snare drum.
We’re also going to be bringing you buyer guides and “how to” articles, helping you get the best from your drums. Whether electronic or acoustic, all kinds of drums and percussion now have a home, here at Gearnews.com!
We’d love to hear from you as to what you’d like to see from Drum Zone. Please drop us a line in the comments section as to what you’d like to see!

I liked it thank you.
Let’s see some articles about which electronic drums or triggers work best with Drum VST software, and what are the best Drum VSTs out there.
What’s the actual cost of converting an acoustic kit to electric and is it any good?
All of that and more, coming soon! ๐
